Dr. Thomas has given up practicing in favor of proselytizing. For the past two years, he has traveled the country on a mission to raise public consciousness — strumming a guitar and presenting a stage show that touts a “post-adulthood” period when age and experience are associated with enrichment rather than decrepitude.

Geriatrician and author Bill Thomas is best known for being at the forefront of a movement to improve life in long-term care facilities that came to be known as “culture change.”
We are onto something that works and we are dedicated to making the Age of Disruption Tour bigger and better in 2016.
In the fall of 2015, Dr. Bill Thomas completed the second half of the 30-city Age of Disruption Tour, a tour designed to challenge ageist stereotypes, bolster the concept of disruptive change at both the community AND personal levels. The Tour brought 101 live events to 30 cities in 20 states, with more than 5,000 participants.
